I have an absolutely beautiful interior design in my own house. It’s a wonderful thing to be able to sit back and truly enjoy the living space surrounding me. It’s so nice, in fact, that sometimes I don’t want to ever leave my house! That’s how pleasant it is to be inside my own personal environment.
How did I get my abode to look and feel perfectly? Let me tell you that it took a lot of time and work for me to know how to make this happen. And as a result I constantly have people coming over to me and asking how they can duplicate my process. It’s a very simple thing to do, and I’ve distilled the psychology that goes into it down to a few short steps.
- Who are you? You’ve got to know what kind of person you are. Take out a pen and paper and answer the following questions. What kind of environments do I personally enjoy the most? What do I actually want the inside of my house to look like? Of the places I frequent the most, what do their environments and designs look like? Your answers help you find out what you already appreciate.
- Match your outside to your inside. After you know what you like, it’s time to make the exterior, namely, the walls of your house and such, match your answers. This is a really simple thing. That’s all there is to it.
- Those are the psychological secrets of fabulous interior design. And after you have your inside redecorated and redesigned to match who you really are, keep note of who you are becoming. Because over time, it’s a good idea to continue the evolution of your living space. You always want it to match the kind of person you are!
